Awnik Sarkar, D.O.

Dr. Awnik Sarkar is from the great lakes state of Michigan where he completed both undergraduate and medical school studies at Michigan State University. He completed his Anesthesiology Residency at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, MI and his Pain Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious University of Virginia. He is Double Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr. Sarkar takes pride in understanding his patients and creating a customized treatment plan that is unique to each person’s needs. He believes in a holistic approach to treating patients where using the most conservative but yet effective treatment is the primary goal. However, he also understands when conservative treatments are not adequate, the importance of advanced but yet minimally invasive treatments for chronic pain. He has dedicated himself to perfecting his craft and training with cutting edge technology in order to offer the most effective therapies to his patients. Dr. Sarkar is a member of The North American Neuromodulation Society, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and American Society of Pain and Neuroscience. In his free time Dr. Sarkar enjoys cycling, cooking for his friends and family, and hiking with his golden retriever Harley.
